Roseanne Barr returns with a vengeance, and she hasn’t forgotten those who supported her throughout her journey. While the fate of “The Conners” cast and crew remains uncertain, her longtime friend Tim Allen, who once filmed “Home Improvement” on the same Des Moines soundstage as “Roseanne,” has committed to appearing in seven episodes of her new show, “Raising the Barr.”
“I’m excited to be a part of her resurgence,” remarked Allen. “She wields considerable influence in Hollywood at the moment, and I consider myself fortunate to have earned her favor.”
It’s widely acknowledged that whoever dominates the headlines in Hollywood holds significant influence for a brief period. For someone as influential as Roseanne Barr, this short window can either propel or hinder a person’s career.
“I pleaded with her to give me a chance,” lamented Lacy Goransen. “But she just kept telling me to ‘f*ck off, Becky.’ It felt incredibly unfair.”
The family of the actor who portrayed Mark in the original series expressed disappointment over the decision to have Roseanne’s character die from an opioid overdose, mirroring the fate of their loved one.
“It feels like they’ve taken our story,” they stated, announcing their intent to sue the network for $500 million and demand a formal apology.
Despite the controversies, filming for the new show is set to begin in the fall. God Bless America.
