A bizarre courtroom case has left people stunned after a man, who simply happened to be walking by when a 5-year-old girl fell from a height, was dragged into court despite failing to catch her.
According to reports, the man was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Surveillance shows the child slipping, and while the man reached out instinctively, he couldn’t react fast enough to stop her from hitting the ground. The girl survived but suffered injuries.
Shockingly, instead of being treated as a bystander, the man now faces legal questions about whether he “could have done more.” In court, he looked confused and frustrated, repeatedly asking why he was even there when he hadn’t caused the accident.
