Keanu Reeves is widely regarded as one of the kindest and most authentic individuals in Hollywood. Conversely, Whoopi Goldberg has recently garnered the unfortunate title of “most disliked person” in Tinsel Town, a label that no one seems able to dispute.
Reeves had been selected by the TV Production Committee to present this year’s Lifetime Achievement award, an honor he was excited about until he learned he would be sharing the stage with Whoopi Goldberg to present the award.
“Listen,” Reeves said, his voice echoing a sentiment reminiscent of a conversation with Rufus outside the Circle K, “She’s just not someone I want to associate with. I don’t want to be known as the guy who made that choice.”
Justin Timberlake, Winona Ryder, and Gloria Estefan followed suit, declining the offer as well. There’s still uncertainty surrounding Jackie and Kelso’s response; it seems they’ve gone off the grid, leaving everyone waiting for a change of pace in their lives.
